A 22-year-old student from Texas A&M is shot dead. We want to know why his killer faces no accountability. It’s an AGGIE ATROCITY and his family wants justice for Caden Crow.
A&M Murder
The Brazos County district attorney is Jarvis Parsons he refuses to sit down for an interview with us… Won’t talk. Bryan police Chief Dean Swartzlander won’t talk with us either.
That’s more than a shame… It’s law enforcement negligence.
Because they both know we are only trying to help the family of a dead A&M student.
You are seeing and hearing something no one should ever have to.
The blood curdling moans of a shooting victim.
It’s even more horrific to know that victim lying on the floor… Is just 23 years old.
“It’s so unfair and it just hurts so bad. And he was my only sibling… I’m sorry. I did not think it was going to be this hard,” said Cameron Crow.
It was May 2nd… An unimaginable day for his mom and dad… Melissa and Dean Crow.
“I felt like I was in the twilight zone. It was the craziest, scariest, loneliest, most awful feeling I have ever felt in my life,” said Melissa Crow.
The day they lost their son, Caden Crow after he was shot and killed… not by a stranger… But by his roommate.
“I’m so sorry. I’m sorry,” muttered Charlie Boggan.
Can I have the address of your emergency?
“Yes, 2551 west villa maria road. We were cleaning my guns, and I accidentally shot the cops. I accidentally shot my roommate,” said Charlie Boggan.
His roommate may have been sorry at his negligence in those moments… but since that night Charlie Boggan has never talked to Caden’s mom and dad.
Not once every four months.
“How can this boy just take my brother and not care?” said Cameron Crow.
Caden Crow was a pharmacy student at Texas A&M… A longtime H-E-B employee.
And a co-owner of “Double C Motors” a car detailing company.
“Very driven, very lovable, empathetic, wanted to help others, motivated to do just about anything that was positive,”
On May 1st… Caden had just finished finals.
He was celebrating with a night out with his best friends.
Including his roommate… Charlie Boggan… Whom he had known since high school in Brenham.
Charlie was documenting the night on snapchat.
Sending pictures to this girl… Lauren Lindemann.
“They had been drinking since probably 7 p.m.,” said Lauren Lindemann
The guys had gone to Northgate.
starting with Tipsy Turtle… O’Bannon’s… Good Bull… And the night ends here.

at 12 rooftop bar.
Around three am… The roommates returned to their apartment in Bryan.
“Charlie was undoubtedly intoxicated,” said Lauren Lindemann.
Even said so himself in one of his Snapchats to her.
“It was at like 3.30 at this time, and it was, “I’m so drunk I can’t see”,” said Lauren Lindemann.
Snapchat history from that night shows Caden had also told his sister how drunk Charlie was.
“It was just weird how I woke up to every single one of his messages that night not knowing that like that was going to be the last time I ever talked to him, you know?” said sister Cameron Crow.
Caden was cooking food in the kitchen when Charlie pulled out his gun.
It fired… striking Caden in the abdomen.
This is what Charlie said when he called 911.
“Yes, 255-1, West Villa maria road. We were cleaning my guns, and I accidentally shot the cops. I accidentally shot my roommate,” said Charlie.
“We were cleaning my guns. I was checking my gun to make sure it was unloaded, and it was loaded,” said Charlie.
But when Bryan police arrived on scene… Charlie had different explanation for how the gun went off.
Charlie tells detective miller he was checking the chamber.
“I was just checking to make sure the chamber was clear and it was not clear,” said Charlie to the officers.
Maybe drunk he didn’t remember not to aim the gun while he did that.
But then he says he hadn’t checked the chamber at all.
“Okay, I took it apart, but I guess I didn’t check if there was one in the chamber or not, right?” said Charlie.
Then Charlie admitted he pulled the trigger to make sure there wasn’t a bullet in the chamber.
We’ve obtained the body camera footage from that night… And you can hear a Bryan cop giving Charlie multiple chances to tell the truth about just how much he had to drink that night.
We know he lied… A lot.
“You guys been drinking tonight?” said the officer.
“No Sir,” said Charlie.
“So, you didn’t drink tonight? it doesn’t matter, I just need to know,” said the officer.
“No Sir,” said Charlie.
“So, no alcohol at all?” said the officer.
“No Sir,” said Charlie.
At that moment the cops didn’t have all those Instagram’s.
“Are you lying to me because I need to know,” said the officer.
“I had like one beer,” said Charlie.
“So, you told me you didn’t have any drinks before and now you’re telling me you had one. how many did you have? be straight up with me, okay? okay. how many drinks did you have tonight?” said the officer.
“Two or three,” Charlie admits.
Charlie eventually tells detective miller he’s had more like 4 to five drinks.
“4 or 5, I don’t really remember how many it was,” said Charlie.
According to the police report the Bryan cop could smell “alcohol emanating from Charlie’s mouth”
You can even hear him slurring on the body cam… just how drunk was he?
“He doesn’t even realize he pissed all over himself. He’s also super intoxicated,” said the cops.
But shockingly Bryan police never even asked Charlie to take a breathalyzer… submit to a blood sample.
Charlie was never even taken into custody… with Detective Miller stating, “the decision to present the case to the da without an on-site arrest was made”.
“I don’t think the right steps were taken along the way,” said Dean Crow.
Caden was already fighting for his life in the emergency room of St. Joseph’s hospital in Bryan.
“Do you think Caden knew that he was going to die when he said those words?” said Peyton Huessner.
“I don’t think he did and I don’t think that has any bearing on the law either,” said Dean Crow.
No, not,” said Melissa Crow.
Caden was life-flighted to Memorial Hermann in Houston… But his aorta had been ruptured… He died on the way.
“He was amazing. He was amazing,” said Melissa Crow.
The medical examiner’s report shows Caden’s death was ruled a homicide word of Caden’s death spread quickly.
The news got to Lauren Lindemann… From a friend whose daddy is a Bryan cop.
“Her dad is in Bryan police, and she told us the next day, like after this happened, she said Charlie’s going to be fine. That the case came across her dad’s desk, but he had told Caroline that Charlie was going to be fine,” said Cameron.
That’s what prompted us to examine relationship between lt. James Murphy and Charlie Boggan.
A simple google search shows the two families are apparently related by marriage. James murphy’s wife… Kaci Klusmann… Is related to the Boggan family.
But it was the events after Caden’s death that really led his family to start questioning this injustice in Aggieland.
“We were initially told involuntary manslaughter from the first detective. and then it changed to the DA’s office, and they changed it to negligent homicide,” said Melissa Crow.
Police turned over their investigation to the Brazos County DA’s office… Who then presented the evidence to a grand jury on June 11th.
Missy and dean say they weren’t allowed in the courtroom. Instead… they got a call from the DA’s office.
“And the gentleman just said the grand jury just convened and it’s no-bill,” said Mellisa Crow.
“And he said, well, simple answer is they didn’t get nine out of 12 votes to prosecute Charles,” said Dean Crow.
“I feel like if the grand jury saw those in full, like everybody else has seen them, I can’t see how they would have said what they said or voted the way they voted,” said Dean Crow.
The verdict was shocking to missy and dean.
“I definitely don’t feel like the grand jury got all of the information,” said Melissa Crow.
We don’t know if the DA told the grand jury about the body camera videos the alcohol. The lies caught on camera… Weirdly… The grand jury no billed Charlie Boggan. Even for the crime of negligent homicide.
The next day Charlie Boggan went to Las Vegas.
We don’t know what evidence was presented to the grand jury. But we do know that after the no-bill… Charlie didn’t say I am sorry to Caden’s family.
Instead, he partied…
Charlie even posted this picture of him drinking on snapchat.
“How can this boy just take my brother and not care? like, how does he get to just party? he gets to live his life. He hasn’t said sorry. He has no remorse,” said Cameron Crow.
Charlie has been living back home in Brenham, working at sonic. Suddenly I’m craving a slushie.
“Yeah, hi. My name is Wayne Dolcefino. Why haven’t you called Caden’s parents to say you’re sorry?” said Wayne
“No comment, no comment,” said Charlie conveniently
“Why haven’t you called them? Did you go to Vegas after the grand jury? what’s it like to kill someone, I’d like to know,” said Wayne.
“This is not the first time Charlie has had alcohol and a loaded gun involved at the same time,” said Dean Crow.
A childhood friend of Charlie’s tells us that at a party a month before Caden died… Charlie pulled his gun out after having a few drinks.
“I would say he probably was the first one to do it and it was normal for him to just take out his gun and just start talking about it,” said Reece Knebel.
“When he was showing us his gun, there was one in the chamber. I know that for a fact,” said Reece Knebel.
This is one of the reasons the Crow family has filed a civil suit against Charlie.
“I would like to personally see something happen because I don’t want to know who’s next,” said Melissa Crow.
According to the original petition… They’re seeking 1 million dollars in monetary relief.
“I don’t think that anybody that’s ever involved in an accident means to do it or wants anybody to die. But the law is the law. Handling a firearm when you’re drunk is no different than getting behind a steering wheel when you are drunk,” said Dean Crow.
On September 1st a Silver Tapps ceremony will be held at A&M in honor of Caden.
It’s one of Texas A&M university’s oldest and most sacred traditions… For students who have passed away.
The family has started an endowment in Caden’s name… the “Caden Crow memorial endowment at the Texas A&M College of Pharmacy.”
They’ve already raised over 100,000 dollars for scholarships awarded to a pharmacy student in Caden’s honor.
“I was told that it’s been funded faster than they’ve ever seen. So that’s good for a mama heart to hear…Everybody who knows him, I know they’re going to remember who he was because he was special,” said Melissa Crow.
But where’s the justice… A better question why there isn’t justice… If a drunk guy handling a gun isn’t negligence… I’m not sure what is. We want justice for Caden.
Now memories are the only thing Caden’s family can hold on to.
“Same smile in every picture just big, big,” said Melissa Crow.
And Missy says signs from heaven.
“I mean they’re all different most of them are white,” said Melissa.
Like these feathers… Keep her going.
“Now every time we find one we’re like *gasp* oh my gosh I found one!” said Melissa Crow.
