Kevin and Karen Maley have had enough. Seven months after a Spring Branch ISD football player solicited lewd pictures and sex from their 14 year old daughter through text messages and Snapchat, these frustrated parents are forced to go public with a warning that every Houston area parent needs to hear.

The Maley’s especially want to send a message to Spring Branch ISD, accusing the Memorial High School Administration of trying to cover up the incident, mistreating their daughter while protecting the football team.

“All we wanted was for the School District to treat our daughter’s cry for help with dignity and punish those responsible”, says Kevin Maley. “Sadly, we have learned SBISD cares more about its reputation than the safety of our kids.”

Their personal horror story comes as Spring Branch Independent School District is trying to keep other secrets from parents including the use of PTA parent e-mails by students to blackmail young girls, and the trading and collection of female student photos in a drop box account shared with high school male students.

The parents will detail the months they have spent trying to get Spring Branch ISD Superintendent Klussman to discipline employees who mishandled this family horror story.

The family has filed a civil lawsuit against the 19 year old football player, but believe parents should demand immediate changes to school district policies that protect perpetrators instead of victim.

The Maley’s will hold a news conference at 10:00 am Wednesday, May 13th, 2015 at the offices of Dolcefino Consulting, 3701 Kirby Suite # 560.
