Shot in the abdomen… By a roommate who drank all night then played with a loaded gun… Aimed at Caden. There is no accountability… The grand jury filed no charges.
“I just don’t understand, if these jurors saw the body cam that I saw, there’s no way they did not vote to prosecute,” said Dean Crow.
At a press conference… I called out the failures of Brazos County law enforcement to deliver this family justice.
Voters and taxpayers need to understand how his office screwed this case up so badly that there is no accountability for something that was clearly negligent.
We now know a lot more about those failures… Wednesday the family and their lawyer met with the da for nearly three hours.
Wednesday morning the crows and their lawyer met district attorney Jarvis Parsons.
“Are you satisfied with your meeting with the da?” said Peyton Huessner.
“No,” said Melissa Crow.
And we know why.
The DA told the family Bryan police screwed up when they didn’t get a warrant for the shooters blood… They knew he was very drunk.
“He doesn’t even realize he pissed all over himself. He’s also super intoxicated,” said officers at the scene.
As he lay dying… Caden told the doctors he didn’t want his roommate to go to jail… The DA told the grand jury that was his dying wish.
But he da knows his job is to protect the public… It’s too late for Caden… If a drunk guy playing with a gun isn’t negligence homicide what is.
The DA admits the grand jurors never even saw the body camera video that we showed you.
The DA won’t take the case to a new grand jury… A slap in the face to a good A&M mom and dad who have raised about 100,000 so far for a scholarship fund in their son’s name.
