The DICKtator Of Texas City

The war on cops in Texas City threatens public safety, yet the guy we call THE DICKTATOR OF TEXAS CITY continues to withhold public records detailing his retaliation against his own cops.
“Is that the Mayor’s Directive? Officer? Is that the Mayor telling you guys to keep me away, you getting paid to do that?” Wayne Dolcefino asked the officer at the City Council.
The last time the Texas City City Council met, I had questions for Mayor Dedrick Johnson.
And this was the cop who stood in the way.
“You can’t deny me the right to talk to them,” Dolcefino said.
“Schedule and appointment to speak with them,” the officer said.
“No, I don’t,” Dolcefino said.
The city has been illegally hiding the cost of fulfilling Johnson’s desire for dignitary protection. It’s Texas City for God’s sake.
And after that meeting in May, it took two cops to escort the mayor to his car parked just feet from City Hall.
“Why are you holding records Illegally from us? What about transparency, Mayor?” Dolcefino asked Mayor Johnson.
Think about it. If just those two guys had been on patrol instead, the police presence in Texas City would have been increased by thirty percent.
Cops should be out fighting crime — not the media.
We’ve gone to the DA in Galveston because Texas City is refusing to reveal the financial cost of this over-the-top security for the mayor. They have only given us records claiming only one guy works for him. The guy in charge.
We have documented evidence showing taxpayers are paying for the training of 7 officers.
Thirty veteran cops have left in a year and a half. 53 if you include other police department employees like dispatchers.
Quoting:
‘Officers are exhausted. Morale has collapsed. And instead of fixing the problem leadership is punishing the symptoms.’
The DA is investigating our complaint that the city is illegally hiding evidence of possible retaliation against the police association, by the unpopular police chief and the mayor.
And if the mayor we call Dicktator of Texas City has his way, a potential billion-dollar investment in Texas City will be leaving too. Stay tuned.
“But that’s bullshit. Ok. You know what bullshit is?” Dolcefino said to the officer.
