NEW VIDEO! Corpus Christi city council members Kaylynn Paxson and Gil Hernandez owe the taxpayers a refund. Just days after being jurors in the mayor’s removal hearing, they announce they’re running against her. Why not? CORPUS IS CRAZY.

Call a doctor!

I’m against big government bureaucracy… But I think the folks in Corpus Christi Texas may need to add a new city job…  The city hall shrinks… because Corpus is crazy…

We have a ton of breaking news in our thirst for answers investigation. including our request for a criminal investigation of the city’s former auditor.

Let’s go undercover at the residence inn.

We are checking in at a five-story hotel on shoreline boulevard.

It’s got an awesome view of Corpus Christis downtown bayfront.

We don’t have any luggage… But we do have a hidden camera.

We head straight for the elevator… Hoping to catch the view from the hotel’s rooftop sundeck.

To see the “sun stars and view of the ocean” promised by the developers of the hotel in 2020 for the tax money they got.

In all they got one million dollars… They didn’t even have to show if all the money had been spent.

But there’s a problem… The elevator… It doesn’t even go on the roof.

Maybe the city manager Peter Zanoni should drop by and see for himself

“There is no rooftop sundeck fifth floor,” said Wayne.

But how can that be true. We have a picture the developers turned in of what it would look like. They originally promised there be a bar too.

No, this is not the Homewood suites that you folks hear about from the local news.

This is the hotel scandal that really should be investigated.

The hotel is owned by Raju Bhagat and his business partner Ajit David.

David paid for the attorney involved in the failed attempt to remove the mayor from office.

But back to the sundeck… I’m bummed.

“You ask me the same things I tell you the same thing,” said Ajit David.

Actually, we hadn’t ever asked that question… But you’re about to be eyewitness to something the city shrink could work on.

To help city officials recognize what’s about to happen.

Let’s ask Texas attorney Jefferson Fisher has 7 million followers on social media… And expert in relationships.

And what’s called deflection.

Ajit David has a classic case of it.

“What about the mayor I’m asking you about some beating up boys and girls did you investigate that part,” said Ajit.

What does that have to do with the sundeck.

Yes, the mayor’s son was arrested in Lubbock five months ago… But Ajit David knows we are investigating something else… Government contracts… Like his.

What should you do when someone tries to deflect.

“Once you’ve made your point and they deflect just repeat what you said back again,” said Jefferson Fisher.

“I’m no shrink but after decades of asking tough questions I already knew what to do,” said Dolcefino.

“What about the sun deck… That’s him… Can you not answer the question,” said Dolcefino.

The mayor overhead Ajit’s allegations and it got ugly.

“Can you not answer the question. Yes, mayor come over here on camera please come here look at her… Let’s do this what are you doing,” said Ajit David.

Channel 6 cameras were rolling too.

Ajit was suddenly looking for his lawyer. We wanted to talk about the residence inn.

“If I go the residence inn, will I see a sundeck. Your lawyer ran away he’s scared of me,” said Wayne.

“I don’t think he ran away I just saw him over,” said Ajit.

“He ran way,” said Wayne.

“Please do not come down her excuse me,” said Doug Allison.

Want to see it for yourself.

Doug Allison didn’t want to talk about a lawsuit we found.

That lawsuit was eventually dismissed… But we had more questions.

“Did your company want the harbor island project,” Said Dolcefino.

An email proves they did.

Part of the behind-the-scenes war over desalination and who wins the lucrative contracts.

“I’m Wayne Dolcefino how are you. You’re not going to hit me are you,” said Wayne.

And in the parking lot of city hall there is another reason why this place needs a town shrink.

Councilmember Caylyn Paxson will hide in her Mercedes to avoid our questions.

But she can hear us through her car window.

“You’ve been avoiding us for weeks councilmember this should be embarrassing to you how does it help your constituents by hiding from questions,” said Dolcefino.

Paxson would rather hide in her car.

“She’s calling security I bet,” said Dolcefino.

“Can you tell the citizens of Corpus Christi how this helps them all this continuing drama you’ve been avoiding us for weeks what’s the big deal why can’t you answer questions,” said Dolcefino.

Three city hall security guards will leave their posts protecting the public to escort Paxson through the Dolcefino media gauntlet.

This is an old trick… Pretend you’re on your phone to avoid questions.

We watched… Her lips never moved.

Maybe Paxson just has a fear of questions.

What they call ask phobia.

“Is this about harbor island… I’m not too close to her,” said Wayne.

“Yes, you are, you’re invading her space,” said the Cop.

“How big is her space,” said Wayne.

The local media say Paxson wants to run for mayor… Which is just one of a ton of reasons why she should never have been appointed the judge and a member of the jury in the recent removal trial of her political enemy, The mayor.

Pow can you be a fair judge in this thing very impressive guys.

Maybe the ask phobia thing is contagious corpus has it bad.

City attorneys don’t do interviews.

It was during a lunch break in the four-day trial of the mayor that we confronted Ajit David.

And it’s not just that missing sundeck.

When David and his partner got city building permits, they claimed it was only a 5.5 million dollar project.

Here are their signatures on an official government document.

The building was actually 12.2 million.

The city manager’s office told me they caught another attempt by David’s business partner Raju Bhagat trying to submit a false number on the padre island project… They’re getting tax money.

But Zanoni’s office says no big deal claims everyone does it.

If that’s true stop it all.

But it’s not true… For grins let’s look at the building permit by those supposedly evil Homewood guys.

21 million dollars… Not including land and furniture. That’s

legit.

And we learned Zanoni’s office never reviewed a single other building permit before saying nothing to see here.

Since city council won’t do anything about this. We asked law enforcement to Christi police, The Texas rangers and the Nueces County district attorney to investigate.

Because it was auditor George Holland who set off this whole alleged home wood suites scandal in the first place.

The auditor’s memo came out a year after a still unidentified complaint supposedly triggered an investigation.

But remember the date the bombshell dropped.

It was just one day after holland came back from a leave after he was the subject of an internal investigation into workplace misconduct.

City council ignored recommendation he should be fired.

The lawyer who saved his job was Doug Allison… He’s also Ajit David’s lawyer.

But from the start wave been asking a simple question.

Did George holland get Allison’s legal help for free… Perhaps in exchange for his accusations against Ajit’s biggest competitors.

“You’re lying, you don’t know your facts,” said George Holland.

“I’m lying Holland because you’re getting paid,” said Wayne.

“The city is still hiding a ton of records. But the city has now given us the detailed records of the investigation. What a joke,” said Wayne.

Not a single documented interview not one… Not a single email… Just a five-page fraud examination presentation.

After the auditor issued his findings of alleged fraud multiple law enforcement agencies said there was no crime here

So did the city’s lawyer… City council didn’t care… And it led to a wasteful four-day trial of the mayor.

After it was over three councilmembers who had called for the trial voted not to remove the mayor.

The political backlash has started.

Setting the stage for a November referendum… The voters will be the judge.

“My own party is mad at me and I’m not really a republican or democrat I just got to figure out how to do that,” said Carolyn Vaughn.

The city’s economic board has repeatedly said Homewood suites got their tax incentives because the hotel was breathing life in a once dilapidated downtown.

The press release didn’t even factor in it.

That’s what economic development is for.

They now have unanimously voted to settle their part of the legal fight.

Instead of 2 million over several years… The type b board will pay 1.5 million immediately to the Homewood suites developers… They agreed to donate the other 500,000 to pay the city’s legal bills.

“It is our sincerest hope that doing so will allow all those involved to move forward for the best interest of the citizens of Corpus Christi,” said Diana Summers.

Not in this town.

The economy board dropped an even bigger bombshell.

Alleging councilmembers may have illegally shared privileged legal communications with Ajit David… The guy suing the city. Costing you a ridiculous amount of time and money.

Helping the enemy… That’s crazy.

Doug Allison… Along with the city… They’ve gone to court now to stop the Homewood suites agreement…  Mediation to end Ajit David’s lawsuit has failed.

Doug Allison is the lawyer fighting Ajit Davids legal battles. The removal of the mayor too.

He wants hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees…

Looks like he wants taxpayers to help pay his property taxes…His notorious in not paying them on time. His current delinquent tab is 73,000, not including a possible penalty of 21,000.

Wonder if Sam Vaknin is available to come to Corpus… He’s an expert on drama queens.

There’s chaos, disruptive behaviors, sabotage passive aggression. identify diffusion or disturbance.

Taxpayers should dig into the facts …Not to the deflection.

“You are the biggest deflector I have ever met,” said Wayne.

“You’re a piece of work dude,” said Wayne.

“Corpus is crazy. Just listen to one of the threatening calls we get,” said Wayne.

“You have made the mistake of your life. You’re going to find out,” said the Crazy guy.

Told ya!
