The Vultures Are Circling

You’ll never guess who’s in big trouble with the Justice Department and at least two federal judges. The vultures are circling.

You know you’re in deep trouble when a federal judge in this building calls you a forger and a liar… and a second one threatens to arrest you all in the same week.

But you may not be surprised who we are talking about: Houston’s real estate racketeer Ali Choudhri.

This week, bankruptcy judge Jeffrey Norman had claimed Choudhri had even been faking an illness to avoid justice.

“Who are you with?”

“Wayne Dolcefino.”

“Oh, yeah, yeah. He needs to stop intercepting and wiretapping people.”

Choudhri has long tried to link Dolcefino Media to some grand conspiracy to bring him down.

He says he’s now in financial hardship.

A former employee has blown the whistle on Choudhri’s crumbling real estate empire.

“He uses other people’s money to acquire assets, and then after he does that, he stiffs them in court.”

But it’s the courts that have clearly turned on Ali Choudhri, and filing bankruptcy won’t save him.

Judge Norman’s order is brutal. The court, it says, now has a long history with Ali Choudhri.

“His truth and veracity are questionable, unfortunately entirely questionable. The court believes he’s a forger and a liar, but he at least is smart enough to avoid a Court hearing.”

Judge Norman accused Choudhri of providing false real estate documents to try to stop a bankruptcy and referred his case to the U.S. Attorney.

In a second federal courtroom, Choudhri faced the justice department. They are investigating him for possible civil fraud.

For two years, Choudhri has tried to keep records from a federal subpoena, including WhatsApp messages on his phone.

Judge Rosenthal gave Choudhri just a few more days to comply.

All this comes as Choudhri is losing his grip on the Galleria-area properties his companies once owned, accused of a habit and practice of fraud.

How many people do you know who face two federal judges in the same week?

The vultures are circling.
