Democratic Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton bailed out a fellow Democratic judge just days after he was indicted by a grand jury for official oppression.

We demand Middleton explain why he helped Judge Darrell Jordan avoid a jury trial.

“This misconduct was caught on tape and the dismissal of the indictment is a miscarriage of justice and we’re not going to let the DA off the hook like he did for Judge Jordan,” said Wayne Dolcefino, President of Dolcefino Consulting. “This decision stinks.”

Dolcefino Consulting is now asking for public records from the Fort Bend County DA’s office, including emails, phone records and documents related to the investigation and case.

The criminal case against Jordan stemmed from a 2020 incident in Judge Jordan’s courtroom when Wayne Dolcefino was held in contempt after trying to speak to the judge. Dolcefino was convicted without a trial. The Court of Appeals threw out the contempt case weeks later.

A hidden camera showed Judge Jordan’s illegal arrest of Wayne Dolcefino.

The criminal case was investigated by Fort Bend DA Brian Middleton after the Harris County DA’s Office recused themselves in the case.

“The Fort Bend County DA waited until late Friday before a holiday weekend to dismiss this case. His actions are an insult to the grand jury,” Dolcefino said. “He talks about transparency, so we look forward to examining all his records, including any other grand jury indictment he dismissed. Judge Jordan doesn’t deserve to wear a robe.”
