It’s time to start calling this fight over Harris County election records what it is – a cover up! Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo would rather hide election records than simply show us the truth about what happened last November. The taxpayers will pay for the county lawsuit against the Texas Attorney General in this fight over public records.
And that’s not the only cost of this unacceptable secrecy. Hidalgo and other officials now think they need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on security.
