CCEMS To Face Jury Trial In Criminal Secrecy Case

Harris County Judge Robin Brown has set a trial date of July 25th, 2019 for the criminal case against Cypress Creek EMS.
It’s about time the scandal plagued Northwest Harris County ambulance service faces the music for their secrecy.
It’s been five years since the Harris County District Attorney’s Office filed criminal charges for CCEMS violating the state charity law, refusing to turn over records detailing who’s on the payroll. Taxpayers pay the salaries of ambulance employees, but CCEMS doesn’t think you have a right to know who you are paying.
Making it worse, the majority of the ESD #11 government board that oversees CCEMS have conspired to help them hide the secrets.
Dolcefino Consulting President Wayne Dolcefino has been subpoenaed to testify in the jury trial in July.
“The absolute waste of taxpayer money by CCEMS, coupled with the total indifference by ESD #11 commissioners represents one of the true underreported scandals in this town,” says Dolcefino. “The taxpayers of ESD #11 are being systematically cheated out of millions of dollars, and it is clear the majority of the elected commissioners don’t give a crap.”
The criminal case against Cypress Creek EMS has been delayed for years as they appealed previous court rulings. After spending 911 funds to delay the case, they tried to convince the judge they had been denied the right to a speedy trial so the case would be dismissed on a technicality.
“There are simply no more words to describe what a horrible steward of public funds CCEMS is,” says Dolcefino. “The fact they have been allowed to get away with this so long is a testament to an ESD #11 Board that swore an allegiance to CCEMS and lets them rip taxpayers off. If taxpayers really want to know why they are getting cheated it’s because they voted these idiots in.”
Former District Attorney Devon Anderson filed the criminal charge against CCEMS. You shouldn’t have to compel charities to release their financial records. They should want to. When they don’t, we should all smell a rat.
