We will fight courthouse retaliation in Aggieland

A controversial child custody case in Bryan just got a lot nastier in the last few hours, and what’s happened smacks of courthouse foul play.
Dolcefino Consulting aired an investigative media report Tuesday morning on Facebook detailing the plight of Alyssa Karsagi, who has only seen her children for two hours in 92 days.
Supporters of the Orthodox Jewish woman worry she’s been mistreated in the court case because of her autism.
“When they took them, they were one and two and the one-year-old was still breastfeeding and I didn’t get to breastfeed him again,” said Alyssa Karsagi.
Hours before our broadcast all parties agreed to postpone a scheduled Wednesday hearing.
Since this morning, something changed. The lawyer representing the children in the case, Bryan attorney Jana Foreman, sent an email to the court with a sudden change of heart.
“As Amicus Attorney for the children I really believe that if all possible this TRO should be heard tomorrow morning,” read Foreman’s email. Foreman later today claimed she just didn’t want the case delayed any longer.
Give us a break. Alyssa Karsagi’s lawyer withdrew from this case less than a week ago. She deserves time to find someone to represent her in the fight to keep her children.
Our investigation discovered Foreman used to work in the same law firm with the father’s attorney and there’s no evidence she bothered to disclose that in court.
“Maybe Ms. Foreman got amnesia overnight and forgot what she agreed to, or maybe she wants to further punish this young mother because she didn’t like our report,” says Wayne Dolcefino, President of Dolcefino Consulting.
“Judge Matzke needs to send a very clear message that her court respects the First Amendment, and Alyssa Karsagi has the constitutional right to tell her story,” says Dolcefino. “I also suggest Ms. Foreman be very careful. I will make it my personal mission to file the State Bar Complaint against her if she really wants to play this kind of game.”
In the meantime, Ms. Foreman should withdraw from this case immediately, and let the children be represented by a lawyer who doesn’t have any baggage of possible bias.
We will keep you posted throughout the day. If Foreman gets her way there will be a court hearing in Bryan at 8:30 in the morning.
